APOLOGETICS TALK Conversations about BeliefsSaturday, 17th March 2018 ~ 9.30am to 2:30pm ~ The Y Theatre, Leicester

As part of their ongoing apologetics series the Leicester Church of Christ are happy to be hosting Conversations About Beliefs: God, Science, Islam, Jesus with two renowned external speakers. The event is free of charge, but pre-registration is compulsory. .

The topics covered will be:
What Conversations About God Should Be Like
God and Science: Why God Loves Science and Why Science Needs God
Islam: Understanding and Reaching Muslims
Given All The Options, Why Jesus?

The speakers will be:
David Hutchings, co-author of Let There Be Science (Lion 2017) and a regular speaker and writer on the interaction between science and Christianity. He holds a First Class Physics degree from the University of York and also works with the Institute of Physics, with whom he has helped popularise the subject to the general public and to train science teachers.
Andy Bannister, Director of the Solas Centre for Public Christianity who address audiences of both Christians and those of all faiths and none on issues relating to faith, culture, politics and society. He holds a PhD in Islamic Studies and is the author of An Oral-Formulaic Study of the Qur’an (a ground breaking and innovative study that reveals many of the ways the Qur’an was first composed) and The Atheist Who Didn’t Exist (or: The Dreadful Consequences of Really Bad Arguments). He also co-wrote and presented the TV documentary, Burning Questions.
